Geranium oxonianum is an herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the Geraniaceae family. It is native to Europe and Asia, and is commonly known as the Oxfordshire geranium. The plant grows up to a height of 30-40cm with a spread of up to 50cm and produces deeply-cut, dark-green, foliage that is hairy to the touch. The flowers of Geranium oxonianum appear in early summer, and they are pink, magenta, or purplish-red in color, with dark veins and prominent stamens. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, especially bees and butterflies. Geranium oxonianum prefers to grow in moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. It is an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. The plant is low maintenance, disease-free, and hardy to zone 4.
